Bommarito Estate Almond Tree Winery was established in 1996 with the first planting of Norton grapes and opened for business as a bonded winery in 2000. Bommarito Estate Almond Tree Winery is a small vineyard with a limited production of wine and plenty of room to grow larger. The vineyards and winery are owned and operated by Nick Bommarito, who is also the award winning winemaker. It is a family operation, with his sons and daughters coming in to help to create a pleasant and beautiful experience.
The Estate features picturesque views of the hills and valleys of the Missouri Wine Country. Mother nature is in abundance at the winery with a cool breeze on the hillside and beautiful sunsets in the summer. In the winter months the tasting room affords the warmth of a roaring fire with enough seating for 30 guests. The total Estate is currently 21 acres, of which, approximately 10 acres of grapevines are growing. Norton, St. Vincent and Vignoles are the grapes that are growing, with Norton being the oldest and Vignoles the youngest. Norton has become the State of Missouri's signature grape. All these grapes are Missouri varietals and are very adaptable to the climate and terrain of the Missouri Wine Country.
